I worked on this dress and I have finally posted images with weavers and spinners.
She took one hour to weave/fringe one inch of fabric.
A day to warp and dress the loom.
120 inches to make the dress done in less than two weeks.
A day to sew her together.
and then..................
She won first place in Surface Design's Transgressions and Transformation Fashion Show 2007!
I'm very proud of her and wanted to share her with you.
Enjoy!

Re: Finally bragging about Day Glo Weave
Thu, January 10, 2008 - 6:35 PMthanks for your interest!
its a basic twill
weft faced
forgotten the epi and my notebook is not with me.
each band of color is 1/4 inch
12 strands of fringe at each band
wove two matching lenghts of yardage so the seams match
the warp becomes the straps which cross in the back and tie
its actually very simple, but very time intensive.
hope that helps.
